“Ålesund 63” is saxophonist Nikolaus Gelpke’s debut album, recorded at the inspiring Ocean Sound Studio in Norway. Shaped by nature, tranquillity and curiosity, the album tells the story of a late-blooming musical journey. With simple, open melodies and a young ensemble, the creative process itself becomes the focus – minimalist, atmospheric and full of Nordic soundscapes.
